I love the flow in this and of course, the yumminess!
Lovely thoughts in this haiku and the photo is so realistic, I find myself yearning. :)
I know little about collards but I certainly understand pie. A very enticing piece. Thank you!
To be filled from memory! What a beautiful piece. God bless.
a very soothing haiku!
yes to be full on both counts, in life, and in tummy and know when to stop, you put that in the right context, especially at this time of the year when its so easy to over indulge! ( I have a sweet tooth and its hard not to over eat on them!)
yummy is right!!!! oh how i miss real southern cookin'!!!!!
when we were plenty....much meaning in few words...true haiku-ness
I like that third line.
Love the last line and how food helps us remember that.
not sure what collards are but it sounds yummy
I love the music in your haiku. You've linked food and memory beautifully.
this poem takes me right to the holiday table, just at the end of a satisfying meal, full of food & love!
Very lovely. "When we were plenty" is just so perfect.
"remembering when we were plenty" spoke lots to me...thank you. I am catching up on all your takes..hooked I think ;)UL
