Here's my contribution to 3WW prompt.
I click the remote like Dorothy clicks her heels.
I swap my station: tired bungalow for haughty colonial.
Bathe in branded bubbles flickering on the screen;
I want to drown in Gossip girls’ pouting lips and
naïve, fair-haired boys who want to kiss my gloss and glitter.

they will... just let 'em have a key to the "haughty colonial"........
How clever this is - love the way you've used the prompt - each line is perfect! Love the gloss and glitter finale!
Susan
loved how you used these three words, strong from start to finish. Much enjoyed!
love the ruby slippers reference as it brings the poem home (so to speak)
What a great opening line, and the poem delivers all the way through.
Very cool
black eyed susans. my most favorite wild flower. strong, beautiful and able to withstand whatever nature throws at them.
you did the prompts proud. i too, loved the reference to the ruby slippers and am looking for my pair. they were right next to my magic carpet shoes...
I read it twice. Awesome!
hahahahaha
Wonderful. Strong and defiant
I am sorry I don't really understand poetry well. I think I can only understand the last verse if the whole thing is one poem.
It sounds beautiful, the words and all, it is me who is a little dense when it comes to poetry.
Thanks for welcoming me to Three Words Wednesday. I appreciated it. :D

I like your way with words Susan ~ I look forward to reading more of your blog :)
Each line carried its weight, what a great poem.
To be that young again and have all those flirtatious kisses. What wonderful images you have put forth here in your writing. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks all. Bummer, I was hoping the irony was clear. Given the tone of my pieces I didn't think I'd come off as praising these girls.
