coffee suite

columbian roast
curls hips sunnyside up
giggles pop pop pop

*

last year this time
we sifted grains not grinds
through our fingers

*

sipping on you
flavor lingers into night
daily ritual

This is obviously about more than coffee. It is graceful suite of sweet haiku variations. A very interesting response to the prompt.

Coffee used as some great metaphors there.

Wonderful Haiku variations.. very interesting .. I love the second one.. last year this time we sifted grains not grinds!! :)

Thanks for your comment.. I am on the look out for critics.. because if people dont tell me what they find wrong with what I write, how will I ever grow as a writer? but doesn't work!! I think you were the first to notice the comment!!

Efficient and enjoyable, like a good cup of coffee should be.

nice set of haikus, particularly liked the 2nd and one. effective metaphor.

PS

regarding your comment in my post i thought the prompt was extended to daily addictions hence my post wasnt related that much to coffee

Susan,

I could never write like you - they way you capture the moment.

I really envy people that can write haiku's. And yours are good too.

I like how you used the metaphors - one can take things any way they like with these.

Thanks for your invite. I'll come participate when I have a little more time - right now I'm in the middle of harvesting apples - fun, but time consuming!
