Plucked From My Neighbor's Yard

I can't read enough poetry. I'm always checking out poetry blogs, collections, e-zines and journals. Today's pick is from poet, Nathan Moore. I recently read "Signal" and I recognized something familiar and I like that. When you read a lot of poetry, you inevitably read a poem that reminds you of something you've read before. You readily recognize styles, common themes and recurring images. The more you read, the more critical you become of the quality of the writing. You look, you hope for not necessarily something new but engaging, a twist on the familiar. You look for poets who take universal themes and render them fresh and intimate. Nathan Moore does that. Take time to check out Nathan at Exhaust Fumes and French Fries.
