Serena, you're too nice. I just finished reading Heaven by Angela Johnson and last week I read Feathers by Jacqueline Woodson, where I came across the Hope poem. My take is pretty straightforward. Glad you like it. I'm playing mad catch-up.
This is great. I love short works because its so much harder to be brilliant in just a few words. I might post this on my wall :)
