Hi I am just looking through blogs and I found yours interesting and would like to invite you to become my friend. I have a mild art blog and I am always looking to make new friends, are you up to it?
Thanks mgirl, Thom and jesse. The little warm death isn't original. I heard it in a song sung by Cassandra Wilson, an incredible singer from Mississippi. If you don't know her work, check her out.
Hi Lissa, I looked up the reference where I first heard the phrase. "A Little Warm Death" is on Wilson's "New Moon Daughter" album, 1995. The woman in the song is very much alive in the song. If you can, listen to the track. I bought quite bit of Wilson's work in during the 90s.

So sad, makes my heart ache. So much emotion in so few words.
There is so much emotion here, but I don't take away sadness. I came away in awe of the descriptiveness in such few words. Thanks for this.

Funny you use the word "blue" to describe her as warm because blue has always meant cold to me. This made me think.
