An American Sentence(s)

So many Novembers passed haven’t faded her arms and smiling eyes.

I'm trying to surface, so please suffer the bubbles that gurgle up.

*The second came quite spontaneously.

did you realize both of these sentences are American? Love both the sentiments expressed.

gurgling is good. :)

These were both nice, but I especially love the second one!

Not sure if the second one was even meant to be poetry but I like it. It really resonates with me. I have been trying to surface for years.

The first one is reminescent of a mother/child relationship to me. Homey and safe.

I especially liked the second sentence--almost an apology, where no apology is needed. And the first one is quite warm, and tender--inviting. Lovely.

Thanks Deborah, the first is an initial response to a prompt at rwp and the second one is art imitating life. lol
